Archive Partners

About us

An archive built from what companies file and who they hire.

Most company-data products stop at Active or Dissolved. We start with what is inside every filing, link it to jobs, skills and wage data, and turn it into signals people can act on.

Our story

The archive came first.

For a decade we've been reading what UK private companies file with Companies House. Tens of millions of accounts, every iXBRL tag, every directors' report, every PSC filing: kept, parsed and indexed instead of summarised and discarded.

That archive is the foundation. The 41-point Financial Signal Taxonomy, the Real-Time Margin Shift, the Transparency Index, the Virtual Office Risk Index: every product we ship is a different lens onto the same underlying body of UK regulatory disclosure.

We didn't set out to build a credit-bureau alternative. We set out to keep the parts of UK filings the bureaus throw away. The product followed.

What we do

One data layer. Five playbooks.

Our system ingests data streams including iXBRL accounts, Companies House registers, job postings, skills classifications and government wage data. Each record is cleaned, coded and linked, so a company, a role and a skill all speak the same language.

Customers use it for careers and workforce planning, M&A origination, supply-chain risk, compliance and alternative-data research. The shape of the contract changes; the underlying data layer doesn't.

Archive Partners is built and run by Love the Idea Ltd and its LTI Digital Observatory, the same team that's been building UK-data-native research products since 2016.

What we believe

Four principles. Every product decision rolls up to them.

Detail, not summaries.

Companies House publishes the full iXBRL filings. Most credit bureaus keep only summary scores. We keep every tag, because the signal lives in what other products discard.

Every number has a source.

Every signal traces back to a specific filing on a specific date. We don't fill gaps with sector averages; when a figure is missing, we say so.

Methods are written down.

If a regulator asks how a signal was worked out, the answer is documented and versioned. Black-box scores can't be defended in an audit, so we don't ship them.

UK depth, global context.

Company data is built for the UK, in full detail. Skills, wages and training data reach across the EU and US, mapped to the same occupation codes.
